On arrival in Chennai, you will be provided in-time assistance at the airport followed by a drive to Mahabalipuram. Our Luxury India Vacation representative will meet at the Airport with the placard of your name. After the meeting, you will be assisting with your pre booked hotel. On arrival at the hotel, you shall once again welcome traditionally with Arti and Tikka (a Hindu Ritual where young women put vermillion on your forehead welcomes you with a platter of auspicious items). Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast you will start your Sightseeing of Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram, a town located in Bay of Bengal Tamil Nadu India temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty 7th and 8th centuries. Shore Temple Krishna’s Butter Ball Ganesha Ratha stone temple and also this is a place where India Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and China President Xi Jinping met at Mamallapuram. Mahabalipuram Sightseeing you will cover the sightseeing of the Temple.

After completing the sightseeing, you will drive to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is situated in the north-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu. It was the capital of the Pallava dynasty during 6th through to the 8th century A.D., when the Pallavas created the great stone monuments of Mahabalipuram. It is also a sacred destination. Kanchipuram silk is World wide famous and Silk Sarees are also very popular in Kanchipuram. Mahabalipuram Sightseeing you will cover the sightseeing of the Temple.

After finishing the Sightseeing you will drive back to Mahabalipuram and Overnight stay at the Hotel.
After having breakfast, you will head toward the Chennai Airport to board a flight to Madurai. On arrival at the Madurai Airport you will meet our Luxury India Vacation representative with the placard of your name. After the meeting, you will be assisting with your pre booked hotel. Madurai is a very nice place to visit. An ancient temple city of Madurai mentioned in the Tamil Sangam literature, with the goddess temple mentioned in 6th century. In the evening you will visit Meenakshi Temple to see the evening ceremony. After watching the ceremony, you will drive to Hotel.
After the breakfast you will process for your Half Day Sightseeing in which you will cover places as follow:

Meenakshi Temple – It is located on the Southern bank of Vaigai River. The Temple is dedicated in the form of Goddess Parvati and in the form of Lord Shiva. Inside the temple you will also manage to get a look where there is a real elephant! Visit one of the architectural wonders of India and one of the finest and grandest Hindu mandirs of the world Meenakshi Mandir in Madurai in Tamil Nadu.
Thirumalai Nayak Palace - Thirumalai Nayak Palace is a 17th-century palace erected in 1636 by King Thirumalai Nayakar, a king of Madurai who ruled Madurai from 1623–59. Also, Light and sound shows are heard in the evening in both Tamil and English languages. There are also many Bollywood films shot due to the huge pillars inside the Fort. It was really huge and grand. We had a great time there. But nowadays people writing on the pillars and sculptures without knowing the value of that great palace. which was totally bad and we should stop doing these stupid things.
Teppakulum:- Is a beautiful Square shaped Tank which is spread in a huge area of 16 acres and located 4 Kms far from the Meenakshi Temple. Colourful Float festival takes place every year to celebrate the birth anniversary of King Thirumalai Nayak who built this beautiful tank. This festival takes place in the month of January / February, and is decorated with flowers and illuminated with a lot of colourful lights. After completing the Sightseeing, you will be taken to Periyar which is a about 3 hours drive Reaching Periyar, get checked in and take an evening tour of Spice Plantation Tour.
Spice Plantation Tour will give you an opportunity to know the importance of Spice which plays a very important role in Medicines, cosmetics, which makes your meal more delicious and make your tea more watering. The tour gives you a chance to enjoy cardamom, pepper, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and many other varieties of spices and medicinal plants. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today after breakfast you will head towards Kumarakom. On the drive you will cross the mist capped mountains, spice plantations and grasslands lined with spectacular waterfalls. On arrival check into the resort. Kumarakom is itself fantastic to soothe your weary soul. Yet in the morning you go for a birding tour to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. You will see here various migratory and resident birds frolicking on the water bodies. If you are a water sports buff, enjoy water sports such as wind sailing & water skiing. You can even ride a canoe in the quiet lakes. After dinner, overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Alleppy, one of the scenic backwater destinations of Kerala. After lunch you will board your houseboat for an overnight cruise. Sailing down through the backwaters, the houseboat will ride towards Alleppey. Dinner onboard.
Luxury India Vacations representative will pick up at the Alleppey boat jetty. You will explore the temples and markets at Alleppey. After lunch you will be driven to Cochin. Reaching Cochin, take you to your hotel for last night's stay. Tour the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets. Enjoy a Kathakali dance show in the evening. After dinner, night stay at the hotel.
On the 11th day of the Kerala backwater tour, Luxury India Vacations representative will drive you to Cochin Airport. Catch your flight back home. Say goodbye to our representative.
