"Mount Abu is a very pretty hill station located in the state of Rajasthan. The natives and the tourists flock to this place in large numbers so as to protect themselves from the extreme summers. Places to visit in Mount Abu:

Gaumukh temple: the name of the temple essentially means a spring flowing naturally through the head of a sculpted cow .Sage Vashishtha performed his famous Yagna here.

Dilwara Jain temples: These temples are beautifully carved and were constructed from the 11th to 13th century AD. The temple was constructed as a dedication to the Jain Tirthankaras. It is built from marble and is a symbol of sheer elegance.

Adhar Devi temple: The temple is constructed from a huge rock. It consists of about 360 stairs. It is one of the favourite tourist destinations.

Gardens and parks: Parks as well as gardens that are beautifully laid are interspersed in the entire area. Gardens include Ashok Vatika, Municipal Park, Gandhi Park, Shaitan Singh as well as the Terrace garden. Nakki Lake, Toad Roak,Om Shanti Bhawan ,Honeymoon Point as well as the Mount Abu sanctuary are some of the other places to be visited if a trip is being planned to Mount Abu.

Another festival known as the Patotsava is celebrated in the month of March

How to reach Mount Abu:Mount Abu can be reached by air. The nearest airport is the Udaipur airport and the Ahmedabad airport. We can also reach Mount Abu through railways. The nearest railhead is the Mount Abu railhead located at a distance of 27 kilometres from the city. Mount Abu is also accessible through roadways. Buses ply regularly in the city which connect it with the Mount Abu road.
