Day 01: Thiruvananthapuram - Kovalam

Luxury India Vacations representative will welcome you at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport. Here your Kerala Cultural Extravaganza tour begins. You will be directly driven to Kovalam, the beach town with exotic beaches. On arrival you will take your beach hotel. After lunch, relax at the hotel. Late afternoon frolic at the Kovalam beach. Kovalam is an attraction for the beach buffs for water sports like surfing, catamaran rides and swimming. Enjoy according to your choice. After dinner, stay overnight at the beach hotel.

Day 02: Kovalam - Nearby Sightseeing

On your second day of Kerala cultural tour you will set out your excursion tour to Padmanabhapuram Palace located near Kanyakumari. This is a 16th century Kerala architecture style palace built by the Travancore rulers. Explore its architecture and murals. You can also visit the Temple and Vivekananda Memorial of Kanyakumari. The sheer beauty of Kanyakumari will thrill you as it is the meeting point of Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. Sunset view at Kanyakumari is most stunning. Return back to Kovalam beach hotel. Evening enjoy a cultural programme at the beach. After a mouth-watering dish, stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Kovalam - Sightseeing Tour to Trivandrum

After breakfast you will go for a sightseeing tour to Trivandrum city which has some heritage sites of cultural influence. You will explore Shri Padmanabha Swami Temple, Chitralayam Art Gallery, Napier Museum, Zoological Gardens, famous Kanakakunnu Palace and the Reptile House Observatory. Have a typical Kerala lunch at a Trivandrum restaurant. You will experience the flavor of Kerala cuisine. Return back to the Kovalam beach hotel and relax overnight.

Day 04: Kovalam – Quilon or Kollam (77 km/2 hours)

After breakfast you will be driven to Quilon or Kollam which is known for its spice trade center. On arrival at Kollam you will check in at the hotel. Kollam is located on the bank of Ashtamudi Lake. The proverb says—“Once you see Kollam, you will not need your home any more”. After lunch, visit Mahatma Gandhi Beach and Thirumullavaram Beach. Kollam is known for its delicious cuisine. So, savor a special Kerala dinner at a Kollam restaurant. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Quilon or Kollam

After breakfast you will go for a full day sightseeing at Kollam. Explore the Thangassery Light house, Ananda Valleeswaram Temple of Kollam, Pullichira Church and Chinnakkada Palli Mosque. Have lunch at an outside restaurant. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Quilon - Alleppey (85 km / 2 hours)

Day 07: Alleppey - Periyar (141 km / 4 hours)

Day 08: Periyar

Day 09: Periyar - Munnar (92 km / 3 hours)

You might see a wild elephant on your way of driving. Reaching Munnar you will halt at a resort or hotel. Rest of the time you relax at Munnar. Explore the Munnar town and the lively people of the town. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 10: Munnar

Your whole day tour will be refreshing to you. Munnar is a scenic hill station with natural wonders. After breakfast you will explore the lush tea gardens, Mattupetty Lake and Indo-Swiss Dairy project. After lunch you will explore the temples of Munnar. The Hindus have a habit of visiting the temples always to worship their deities. Sree Krishna Temple and Sree Dharmasastha Temple celebrate temple festivals with great pomp and gaiety. Day 11: Munnar - Cochin (128 km / 3-4 hours)

Kochi (colonial name Cochin) has a rich culture reflected in the art and culture tradition of the people. It has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with the existence of people of various religions and countries. As Cochin is once the main trade of European colonizers, it has some colonial cultural monuments. It is also the home of dance, sculptures, temple architecture, martial arts, and handicraft items.
